Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

In short

WebSage uses very little browser storage. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. What we do store falls into two categories: strictly necessary storage that keeps you signed in, and optional analytics that only run with your consent or in a cookieless mode.

Strictly necessary

  • Authentication token: when you sign in, we store your session token in your browser’s localStorage so you stay signed in across page loads. This is essential to operate the dashboard and is not used for tracking. It is removed when you sign out.
  • Consent preference: if optional scripts are offered, we store your choice so we do not ask again on every visit.

Optional analytics

  • Cookieless analytics: when product analytics are enabled, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service (Plausible). It does not set cookies, does not store personal identifiers, and does not track you across sites — so it requires no consent banner.
  • Tag manager (off by default): any tag-manager script (e.g. Google Tag Manager) is loaded only when it has been configured and you have given explicit consent. With nothing configured, no such script runs.

Managing your choices

You can clear your browser’s storage at any time to remove the items above; doing so will sign you out. Where optional scripts are offered, you can decline consent and we will not load them. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
